FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour is one of the most important beach volleyball events of the world. One of the first starred stages of the organization took place between 31 May and 3 June in Alanya. The event was organized by the collaboration of Alanya Municipality, Alanya Telfer and Turkish Volleyball Federation at Alanya Damlatas Beach.

53 teams from 23 countries participated in the organization including Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, The Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Egypt, The United Kingdom, Latvia, Switzerland, Ukraine and Turkey.

The first starred stage of Alanya lasted for 4 days. The elimination competition was played on 31 May and competitions started at 9 am. 4 teams from each of the two categories passed to the main board after elimination. The main board competitions started on Friday, 1st of June 2018. Turkey participated with 4 teams on the main board and 3 in elimination competitions for men; 4 teams on the main board and 1 in elimination for women.

Finally, FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour First Starred Alanya Stage was complete with the final competitions on Sunday, 3rd of June 2018. The winners of the tour are Russia in men and Germany in women categories. For the first time, Turkish teams competed in final competitions for men and women categories in World Tour organization.

Final competitions passed with hard work and head to head matches. For men category, final match was between Russia and Turkey, and Russia became the winner with a score of 2-1. Second place was held by Turkey and third place is held by Ukraine. For women category, final match was between Germany and Turkey. Germany became the winner with as score of 2-1. The second was Turkey and the third place was Russia.

Vice president of Turkey Volleyball Federation Alper Aslandas gave thank you plaquettes to Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yucel, FIVB Beach Volleyball Technical Delegate Herwin Brillemans and Teleferik Holding Executinve Manager Muhtar Kurt. Additionally, awards were given to volleyball players and teams who were ranked.
